Performing Arts (Acting) BTEC

Our BTEC National Extended Diploma is an 18-unit course, which is the equivalent to 3 A-levels. It is designed to be incredibly vocational, so students will gain as much industry experience as possible. The course is 2 years long and is focussed on performance skills and working as a theatre company. Through the core units students are able to study a range of acting styles, performance genres, scripts, theatre for children, site-specific theatre, film, radio and television acting.  Previous projects have included: recording a radio project, performing a specific work based on Antonin Artaud’s Theatre of Cruelty, Epic Theatre and Shakespearean pieces performed in a dystopian future.

Our 2015 BTEC class’ most recent performance, Frankenstein.
